The Deputy Governor Hon.Paul Ntiati accompanied by Mosiro ward MCA Peter Tirishe joined an emergency team to distribute food to all schools in Mosiro ward, Kajiado West. This is to ensure no child stops attending school for lack of food.
Speaking during his visit the deputy assured the community that the county government is fully engaged to help Kajiado residents in bringing an end to drought issue and support schools in food supply to enable children remain in schools. Calling for more stakeholders and well-wishers to support those affected during this period of drought.
They team also flagged off some of the water borehole projects in the area to secure the residents from thirst.
In the flagging off the deputy said the water will help residents and pastoralists whom are affected by the drought especially those who have been travelling distance in search of water. Promising the locals that they will get support from the county government whenever they need. Mentioning the same activity had taken place in Ewuaso and they will visit all affected areas in the county.
Outlining a number of boreholes built by the county government with some being rehabilitated across the county as a way of curbing water menace.
