Kajiado County’s booth has been rated the most colorful and authentic at the ongoing Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga County.

The four-booth stand draped in the red Maa colors beat Kakamega’s five-booth stand as well as Makueni’s 2-booth stand in a rating conducted by a Sub Committee of the Organizing Committee.

The Stand attracted hundreds of devolution stakeholders as early as 9am with at least five governors visiting the Stand.

The conference attendees were particularly mesmerized by the new real time Geographical Information System (GIS) by the Lands Department.

By a click of a button, the GIS is able to give exact information about all parcels of land In Kajiado County-starting with physical location, acreage, ownership status and history of previous owners.

The other most attractive booth was the Mbuzi Moja, Afya Bora Programme one where the concept of “One goat for One Healthy Family”, was lauded as the most innovative platform to promote Universal Health Care Coverage among pastoralist communities.

“We are humbled by the special mention of our flagship programmes as some of the most transformative and impact to local communities,” said Governor Lenku.

Head of the County’s Delegation to Kirinyaga, Leah S.Moiko said the planning had taken more than two months to ensure Kajiado showcased the best of its achievements.
