HEALTH DONATIONS

The Korean government through The Korea International Cooperation Agency has donated five ambulances and twenty motorcycles to be used to improve health care provision in health facilities within Kajiado County.

The timely donation comes at a time when the administration through its department of health is determined to achieve the Universal Health Care Coverage as advanced in the Big Four agenda propelled by the president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at his office in Kajiado where he received the donation H.E the Governor lauded the Korean government in its resolve to build the capacity of healthcare facilities in the county through their donations and project engagements. “I am truly encouraged by the Korean government’s effort in improving the health care provision capacity of our hospitals and health centers. We hope this will extend to water and cooperatives,”

The Korean ambassador to Kenya Young Dae Kwon who led the delegation to the Governor’s office appreciated the good working relationship with the Kajiado County Government and promised to support health, water and capacity building initiatives by the departments.

“The Korean Government is determined to ensure that the citizens of Kajiado County have ease of access of services provided by the County Government,” said Kwon.

The universal healthcare coverage is one of the pillars of the big 4 agenda that the governor has put forward as a priority service provision yardstick for the health sector. The Korean Government through KOICA has been a key stakeholder in this resolve with several projects supported, hospitals and health centers equipped within the County.
