Enhancing Water Sanitation and Hygiene(WASH)Systems in Kajiado: Strengthening Governance, Collaboration, and Sustainability
The Kajiado County Department of Water Services, in collaboration with KWAHO, convened a Hybrid Interactive Forum on WASH Systems Strengthening at Tumaini Gardens, Kajiado. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to assess the progress made in strengthening WASH governance, identify existing challenges, and explore opportunities for sustainable solutions.
The forum attracted representatives from the Kajiado Youth Parliament, Neighbours Initiative Alliance,World Vision Kenya Osiligi, Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation & Fisheries – KajiadoENSDA,PACIDA,WASH Alliance Kenya Kenya Water and Sanitation Civil Society Network, KAJIADO COUNTY ASSEMBLY, and the Departments of Health, Education,alongside Welthungerhilfe(WHH). Their participation underscored the importance of a multi-sectoral approach in ensuring sustainable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services.
Today’s forum reinforced a collective commitment to building a stronger, more resilient WASH sector in Kajiado County. With continued collaboration, innovation, and governance improvements, stakeholders aim to ensure universal and sustainable access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services for all communities.
