Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Harry Kimtai, met with Kajiado County Executive Committee (CEC) Member Alex Kilowua and a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to discuss the implementation of a maternal and child health project in Kitengela.
The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and strategizing for the successful rollout of the KOICA-supported Mamtoto Project, which aims to improve maternal and child health services in the region.
βThis project is a significant step towards enhancing healthcare for mothers and children in Kitengela. Collaboration between national and county governments, along with development partners, is key to achieving sustainable healthcare solutions,β PS Kimtai stated.
The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Healthβs agenda to enhance maternal and child healthcare, ensuring that communities have access to quality and affordable services.
