INTRODUCTION

Since its conception in 201 3 after the March 4‘” general elections, the
Kajiado county government has burnt the midnight oil to ensure that it
fulfills its promises as pledged during the campaigns.

“Knowledge is power”A great Chinese philosopher , Confucius, once confirmed.
This in mind the county government has decided to create a pool of
information from which its residents will seek knowledge from with much
ease. For certain an informed population is of great importance to the
county.

Hence it has called upon the brilliant minds of this country to come up with a
creative design of a library that will not only offer space for storage and
access to information, but will be a built form which the people of Kajiado will
easily associate with since the design will be informed from the community’s
Culture and built form.

This envisioned piece of architecture will not only place Kajiado county on the
Global map but will also define and elevate the county’s skyline to
international standards.
