Daniel Muindi and faith Chepng’etich are the winners of Kajiado county half marathon held in Kajiado central.
The event is organized by the county government and aims to nurture the many talents in the county.
Daniel Muindi the winner of 21km who hails from Machakos said that although the weather was cold he managed to win the race.”The route was not bad although it was wet and a bit slippery. We started well and I maintained the pace until the last 500m when I went ahead and won.
I also thank the county government of Kajiado for organizing such races because they improve talents in the county. It’s rare to find such kind of an event in other counties.”

Kajiado Governor Dr David Nkedianye said his government is committed to nature talents in the county.
” we will continue to support our athletic so that we can have many professional representing Kajiado abroad. We are building more stadiums such as the Ngong stadium where there will be a conducive environment to train.”
The event was graced by world 1500m silver medalist Elijah Manangoi, Alex Sampao.
The 10km race was won by Lukas Suyianka who just finished his KCPE exam last Thursday.
The winner 21km bagged 80 thousand shillings in class.
The event is organized annually by the ministry of sports in the county with an aim to uplift the young talents in the community and help them become professional athletes.
