His Excellency the Governor commissioned bursary cheques worth 48M which amount to 9.5M per Sub County. This will go a long way helping the children. Speaking during the occasion the county boss admitted delay of the cheques due to technical hitches in the regulation and laws that govern the disbursement from the control of budget. He also added that there were new amendments in the county government acts. Assuring Kajiado residents that early September this year he will disburse another 42M.

CS for Education Youth Affairs, Sports and Culture Hon. Jeremiah Nairowua outlined the number of beneficiaries as 6,172 pupils. “We are happy that finally all the problems are solved and we have the money in our account and all the cheques are also ready and from today we will be distributing to the various institution. We have also agreed that following the new regulation we are supposed to have a committee in place.” Nairowua said, assuring the Governor that they met with the administrators to ensure that they have that committee in place as soon as possible. The committee will be the one responsible in receiving the names and forwarding to the board for processing and issuing of cash.
