Kajiado County Deputy governor Hon. Paul Ntiati Joined Residents of Nkaimurunya ward Kajiado North for a fund drive to support the victims affected by fire disaster that left their properties in ashes.

Speaking during the event the deputy said about 100 people were affected and the government has come to support them to have something on the table. Through the office of emergency fund the county government donated 800 kilograms of unga, 300 kgs of cooking oil, 500 kgs and amount in cash.

The deputy governor did not waver to warn those in charge of firefighting engines for their irresponsible response in search situations. This was after the team responsible received a call and answered that there was no diesel, something that many have condemned severely. Assuring wanainchi that he will follow the issue since that was not an appropriate reason and such people will not be entertained in the government. “I will follow the issue since people have no reason to say there is no diesel and such people will not be entertained in the government.”

Mugai Gashei a local residents and market chairman said 7 million worth of property was burnt and left people jobless. He blamed the team in charge of firefighting engines for not playing their roles to safe the properties.

The residents thanked the government for the support they have shown in such perilous moments.

H.E the senator and area M.P Hon Manje were both  present in the meeting.
