The County Government has built two modern ECDE classes at Matali and Noompopong in Kitengela ward in a bid to improve the young children education in the county.
The ceremony was graced by Governor of the county Dr. David Nkedianye, Executive member of education Mr. Richard Parsitau and area MCA Daniel Kanchory and other county government officials.
Speaking during the official opening of the classes Mr. Nkedianye reiterated the need of building the ECDE classes so as to relieve both parents and pupils the burden of travelling several miles so as to quench their thirst for education.
“Education is the key to every county development and my government is working hard to improve the education sector. We are building good ECDE classes all over the county because we want our children to get the best foundation when they are still young so that they can become leaders of tomorrow.” Said Nkedianye
Area MCA Daniel Kanchori also urged parents to take their children to school because education is a fundamental basic need and a right that is entitled in the Kenyan constitution.
“We want you to bring your kids to this school that we are building because we are doing this so that your children do not travel far or go to expensive private schools for learning. We want to see this classes full of children and have qualified teachers.
The executive member of education sports and social services Richard Parsitau also confirmed that both schools will at least get one teacher, fully employed by the county government so as to reduce the number of teachers paid by the parents.
Education is the backbone of every county and if children get the basic education foundation there is a likely hood for the child to succeed in life.
