Eiti Primary school is a public school located in Kangere ward Kajiado central a few kilometers from Kajiado town. It started in 1984 with few pupils; the population has increased to 149 pupils. The school has experienced a lot of challenges in the past few months following wrangles between the school committee eying for leadership that has caused dispute in the school. These led to poor performance in the school, dropping their mean score from 240 in the year 2014 to a mean score of 212 in the year 2015.

Speaking during the visit of the school, Deputy Governor Kajiado County H.E Paul Ntiati warned the community against involving politics in development matters. He added that it will lead to poor performance in school hence affecting the future of the young children. He further articulated to all stake holders to embrace unity and join hands to improve education standard in the school. The deputy urged the National education office in Kajiado County to come and hold an urgent meeting between parents, teachers and the leadership in this community to ensure that the school has revitalized their mean score.

In his sentiment the deputy said the school has no reason to fail since it’s located in a very good place and has all the required materials and well trained staff. The school has an electric fence and water in the compound.

Odengo Doris the head teacher admitted to poor performance as it is caused by wrangles experienced in the school committee. She urged the new elected board of management members to co-operate to boost schools education standards. She further thanked the county government for employing an ECDE teacher in the school.

Kajiado county government launched a 96 million health facility aimed at meeting the health needs of the populous Ongata-Rongai residents. The health center will cater for the residents of the town with key focus being on maternity health according to the authority.

The Ongata-Rongai health care is set to fill the gap in health care in Kajiado County that for a long time has affected the local residents.
The facility has a modern maternity wing with 20 beds, modern mortuary and a theater among other departments. More doctors and nurses have been posted to the health center

Speaking during the official launch of the health center, Kajiado Governor Dr. David Nkedianye stated that his government is seeking to increase the number of women giving birth at hospitals across the county.

According to the doctor in charge, Dr. Marion Mukira the number of women giving birth at the hospital has increased from 20 to 105.

The 96 million project included the purchase of nursery equipment and equipping the maternity wing.

Oloililai 2 is a Kajiado based Maasai cooperative society. It is a marketing cooperative society owned by dairy farmers from Kajiado central sub-county. Maasai dairy was started as a self-help group registered as Kajiado women project in February 2005.It involved collection, transportation, chilling and marketing of milk to processers. The women association from Oloililai 2 in Maili Tisa in Matapato south could not hide their joy as part of their 2.5 hectares for their dairy was fenced by the county government. The dairy piece of land is occupied by an animal bore hole and Maili Tisa slaughter since it was not fenced hence animals used to roam around and the women felt the need to fence up the area to improve up security

The chair lady of the dairy Mrs. Sayetua lamented “We want to thank the governor and his team for fencing this part of our land. We will be able to sell our milk without problems. We will also be able to do tree planting.” Sayetua used the platform to request for a cooler from the leaders present as one of things that will boost and add value on milk to diversify other products. She appealed to the governor for a title deed that will give them right to own the piece of land.

The dairy receives milk from the pastoralist from the locality of mailwa, Namanga, Ngatataek among others.

During the tour Kajiado Governor Dr. David Nkedianye said his government was determined to boost the milk business and empower the Maasai woman. He also appealed to local pastoralists to keep a considerable number of livestock they can manage to avoid incurring losses during dry spells.

H.E the Governor urged the women society to embrace modern technology to benefit from the ready market. He further warned the teams present to keep off from land selling as it constitutes to poverty in the society.

Namanga Township primary begun a new journey after many years of been neglected from leaders in the county. This comes after a fund drive attended by many political leaders in the county led by the county chief boss Dr. David Nkedianye his deputy Hon. Paul Ntiati, Area MCA Hosea Toshi, Cs for lands Ali Letura, Cs for Health Gladys Marima among other county officials.

The fund drive was to help in repair of the school that has never been renovated since construction in 1939 something that many leaders condemned as ignorance from the leaders in power.

Elijah Koitalei the head teacher mentioned the population of the school is 1200 pupils as he outlined the challenges the school is experiencing. “We need title deed as a school, and our classrooms are full of portholes hence they need to be repaired.” In his sentiments Elijah added the school is experiencing electric shortage and urged leaders to come forward to help in installing the electricity. Feeding program was mentioned by the teacher claiming that a huge number of pupils in the school come from poor families hence they need support from the government in catering the program. Lauding the county government for employing three ECDE teachers in the school something that reduces the burden of parents.

Kajiado governor Dr. David Nkedianye in his speech promised 20 chairs to reduce the over -crowdness of pupils in classes and urged area MCA Toshi to consider the school in development since it has been ignored for a long time. Nkedianye assured the school that his government has promised all schools to be issued with title deeds to avoid lands grabbers. “As a government we are making sure that all schools are issued with title deeds to avoid land grabbers who have conned people for many years. I am warning all land grabbers that their days are numbered so they must stop their business.”

Mentioning the progress of the education in the county, the Governor said his government has built over 300 ECDE classes since he came in power. He also urged the crowd to avoid political differences and embrace unity among themselves and elect leaders and not be partisan.

Kajiado County Governor Dr.David Nkedianye opened two ECDE classrooms at Olteyani primary school in keekonyokie ward, Kajiado west before he went ahead and opened a modern toilet in Kiserian town built by his administration.

Speaking to the crowd the governor called for unity from all stakeholders to join hands with the government to improve development in the county. He warned people to avoid being divided by political parties and focus on development matters. In his sentiments Nkedianye said parties are only conveyor belts to leadership position but the people have powers to elect who they want to lead them.

He further promised the school chairs to diminish the troop of pupils in one class. The Governor used the opportunity to enlighten the residents on education progress in the county. He stated that his government has already constructed over 300 ECDE classrooms and recruited over 600 caregivers to boost education sector in the county.

The residents of the locality called for help from the county government in issuing title deeds since they are living as squatters. These are people living in Ngong forest in the 400 yards.This is a boundary drawn during presidents Moi phase to separate wananchi from living near the Ngong forest.

In Kiserian town during the opening of the public toilets the governor promised training to boda-boda operators so as to curb accidents.

Joyce one of the resident said, “We are happy with the county government for the projects they are doing to us as a way of eradicating poverty in the community.”

Those present were Kajiado County Deputy Hon.Paul Ntiati, Executive Member of Education Hon. Nairowua, Cs for roads Hon Dickson Ntikoisa Area MCA George Sunkuyia and other county officials.
